warrants

Do you happen to know that fella by the name Warrants?? =p

On a serious note,

Warrants made their debut in the Malaysian market back in 1990 and are issued by companies as sweeterners in a bond/rights/loan stock issue.

Warrants are securities issued by a company. They give holders the right to purchase shares in the company at a specific price at a specific date in future.

Warrants are tradeable and the value will go up and down as the price of the shares to which they relate (the underlying share or mother share) goes up and down.

Warrants have no right to dividends and no voting rights.

1st manipedi-cure

Over the last 20 over years, this is my 1st manicure & pedicure.

Friends who know me over the years will be able to tell that there's never a single day I ever had a nice set of 10 fingernails.
It is either always chapped, torn, broken, bleeding, with dead skins / extra at the side.

To add salt to injury, I've never had been able to keep long fingernails because they get torn before they are able to grow longer. That's a very bad habit I know (which I'm trying to get rid of) but somehow I just tear my fingernail when I get nervous.

'The katak hand" ... that's how my sis say everytime she sees my hand or when I try putting on ring. It somehow stuck in my mind and even I myself think my hand looks like one.
Imagine a bony hand with big knuckles and web in between the fingers, stump fingers with very short chapped fingernails... yucks! =p I know you won't believe what I said, but I'll let the pic do the talking =p

Even today as I'm deciding on the manicure, I refused to do the extension. Reasons being :

1. It's - just - not - me
2. I'm afraid it will break or come off before the photo day itself (knowing how chou lou I can be .... LOL)
3. I'm just too stingy to part with my money (ok lah, part of it ah dear's money... hehe)
4. A not-so-nice hand like mine even with the most beautiful fingernail extension will still be not-so-nice

It was a great experience ...
with the girl attending to me telling me that I've lots of dead skin cell around my nails, that my nails are short and asking me who drew those smileys on my hand (with pen) =p

When the girl accidentally cut the lower skin part of my thumb nail and it bleed, I know how she must have felt attending to a lousy customer like me ... who have never been to manicure before..thus explain nails full of dead skin cells, ... who have never been to manicure before .. thus explain taking so long to choose the colours for her nail.

It took me about an hour 15 minutes to complete the manicure & pedicure, but waiting for the fingernails to dry was a torture.
On a positive note, I get to 'do nothing' (poor ah dear have to help me do everything).
the best part, I like how dear hold me on the wrist =)

Will I go for it again?
I don't think so unless circumstances require me to.

Who say this is not date?

Some friends and colleagues who started dating lately has asked for some suggestions on what to do or where to go for dates? I've promise you, AC to write a post on this =p but sorry for the delay.

Some of these are cheap, some are affordable while some may require a little budget =)

Going to the playground – swing, jongkang jongkit, slide, play badminton (cheap)

Dance at the road side when hear favourite song on radio (cheap)

Volunteer activity (cheap)

Hitting the gym to work out to work out together (a little budget) or you can change this to lake gardens (cheap)

Others are like

Meeting for breakfast (cheap)
Shopping (it's cheap if it's window shopping, else need a little budget)
Sport (cheap)
Attend art exhibition / expo / seminars (cheap but a little budget for those with entrance fee) Yam cha (cheap)
Day tour – scenic / historical route (with a little budget considering the petrol price increase)

Watch movie (a little budget if at cinema, cheap if at home)
Gardening

Of all the above, you asked if I tried everything? I think I had done almost all

Dance at the roadside ???

I’ve even climbed onto the roof of dear’s white Wira =p

Playground???
no one loves swing as much as I do ....LOL
oh…this we always do during the earlier stages of our dating due to my obsession with swings and playground – it was much safer during then. And it’s the cheapest way to have fun provided we don’t get caught by DBKL people for destroying kiddies playground. Had played a few games of badminton with dear too =)

hit the gym???
We don’t hit the gym per say but we did jungle trekking and jogging around the lake. I'm usually the culprit who dragged dear along =p kekeke...

meeting for breakfast??? … especially dim sum – dear’s favourite

exhibition / expo / seminars??
art exhibition – went with dear on the 2nd or 3rd date at KLCC art exhibition centre. We had no idea why we went in but I remembered we talked a lot on the drawings although I can decipher some of them …

yam cha ??
I lost count. In fact it’s like a weekly ritual for our group of common friends. But yam cha on date, we did so 1st time at Midvalley’s Coffee Bean after the Financial Expo and after dragging him along to buy adult diapers for someone at home then.
Subsequently as we have more dates, I’ve always discourage dear from patronizing THOSE outlets with 'STAR' and 'BEAN' (although dear like) because I feel we need not spend so much for yam cha, we can always go for ‘thong sui’

trips???
have been to many trips with dear to place near and far far away. One thing special about dear is he always bring me to places I’ve never been before =)

volunteering???
I always like this idea and think it’s a romantic date to be contributing to the society with your loved one. Been to SPCA but didn’t help much except playing with those puppies and doggies… hehe. Going to old folks home with family and dear is our pre-CNY annual affair. Been to Sunbeams home with dear and our common friends was a fulfilling experience. I do hope we have more of activities like these in future =)

Gardening?? Yippie, can never missed this one. One of my fav, where I get to plant plants and watch them grow and watch how the plants i grow almost di-ed and being revived by dear.

And the good thing about these kind of dates as opposed to normal movie watching and shopping, it's cheaper plus we get to know each other at a more comfortable pace
after all, if we just sit and watch movies, we aren’t communicating with each other, we are concentrating on the screen.

All in all, what we do when we date is of the choice for the 2 person involved. It doesn't matter what we do. It's the companionship and the quality time spent together that counts =)

A big big thank you to all of you

I have so much to say ... so much to write
so much so that I do not know where to begin

I'll need some time to put my thoughts into writing
and share all the whirlwinds of happiness around me ...

Till then, enjoy every breathe we take and every moment that take our breathe away.

Cheers to all =)

Just completed my another run – 6km this time

Just as I was climbing up the spiraling stairs, I was swearing and said to myself … I’ll never want to put myself through this again.

Right after the stairs climb, I saw only black spot in front of me. I slowed down and took many deep deep breathe.
I know I want to complete the run no matter and I told myself I can’t faint or give up at this point.

And the next thing that happened, I actually signed up for the 10km run this August. (yah, I know I just told myself about 30 minutes ago, I’ll never want to ever put myself through this again)

It has got to be the medal … that finisher medal!!! (it’s a finisher medal but it’s precious)
As FL & me made a ‘You go, I go’, I decided to give the 10km a try.

It feels good to be able to conquer my fear.
It feels good’er to be able to train myself not to give up on just a little hardship
It feels good’est to believe in myself and make that believe come true.

I really have many to thanks for bringing me into the ‘Circle’ … Keef, NDC, Poh Wai, the Kong sisters & their friends, and FL, CY who accompanied me all along. And of course dear who gave me the freedom to pursue what I'm passionate about =)

petaling street adventure

Last Saturday, we had an (photography) adventure to petaling street.
I love adventure like this with ah dear.

1. We took LRT to Plaza Rakyat

2. Although I'm wearing a pair of high platform shoes, I can't walk properly ... thus we stopped by a shop to buy a pair of RM10 walking shoes ... somemore shocking pink colour that doesn't matches my clothes at all ... but who the heck cares!

3. We then walk to those gifts shop aplenty near petaling street. Me & ah dear are like buffaloes in the shop as there weren't much spaces to turn and ah dear head keep on touching those wind chimes and decors hanging from the ceiling.

4. Magazines and bookstores that sells cheap cheap books and magazines ... alas they are all in chinese =( nevertheless I still drag ah dear in and even studied a chart that show graphic of how we can determine the illness by looking at the ear. Apparently, our ears are like our feet, where certain pressure points represent certain organs or parts of our body.

5. I also dragged ah dear into a shop selling all types of DVD, VCD and CDs ranging from Korean, Japanese, Hong Kong, China series to movies. We didn't stay long as I was rushing to bring ah dear to visit my friends (the puppies).

6. We accidentally discovered the place where people consult the 'geomancy' for auspicious date for wedding occasions. Previously, a friend VV was looking for it, now I know where it is.

7. As far as I remembered, there were about 2 - 3 pets shops around the area but there is only 1 left now. My friends (the puppies) all looked very tired and sad. I feel so helpless.
We saw some colourful birds and a bird that is not a parrot but kept saying 'hello' and whistle 'ne ne ne ne ne ne' mischievously.

8. The hainan chicken rice shop now has a new look and feel ... air conditioned. Didn't eat so don't know whether the food is still as tasty as before.

9. We then proceed to petaling street.

10. The first thing we go for was the famous longan drink. It was definately a thirst quencher.

11. Then I dragged ah dear along to the flower shops ... just because I wanted to capture those flowers pics. They always make me happy. Hehe ... ah dear now knows what flower I like liao lu =D

12. We saw a chinese temple and went in to pray to seek blessings. Here we see many kweilo taking photos even as people are praying.

13. As we walk, ah dear brought me to a souvenir shop (behind popular) which has so many bears bears (again my friends) and other gifts. Walking into the shop, I felt so so happy because they were all calling me 'jie jie, jie jie. We curi curi took some pics when the shop assistants are not looking =p kekeke

14. The 'simply-bring-people-around tour guide' as ah dear called me ... bring ah dear to S & M complex opposite petaling street, claiming this is her territory.

15. Showed ah dear where I usually play badminton with my colleagues. Then we walked all levels of the shopping centre from lower group (magazine stall) to the top floor (DVD, VCD, CD shops).

16. I almost bought a hong kong series ... Forensic Heroes out of impluse but luckily I'm still able to control my spending and think practically after walking past the shop for a few rounds =)

17. I thought of bringing ah dear to eat at the food court ... which have one of the best thai fried rice. But I forgot how long I wasn't there that the top floor is closed and no longer have a food court.

18. As we are looking for food, I brought ah dear to a shop with lots of tidbits ... this shop sells mostly in bulk. I sort of regretted bringing ah dear there because he bought a bulk pack of 100 packs of lemon tablets (those small tablets in golden yellow wrapper). Ah dear even took a picture of the shop so he can come back there next time...lol

19. We almost gave up looking for dessert when this LUCKY 'simply-bring-people-around tour guide' stumbled upon a food court in the middle of petaling street that has ice kacang & tong sui. After enjoying ice kacang + tong shui + choki sticks. We decided to go home as I have a facial appointment at 4pm.

20. Without hesitation, we even ta-pau'ed 2 cendol & 1 rojak at the BTR LRT station. No doubt this 2 fella are 'wei sik mao' ah =p lol

21. This is beside the point but I actually fell asleep till snoring at the facial and only woke up when ah dear called. Lucky no saliva dripping from the mouth =p lol

Don't know whether can have more photo-taking adventure like this or not leh??? =D
photos for this post later lah, okie =D

ps. i notice i wrote like a kiddie on field trip ... broken english and all ... but i think you already can sense my 'happiness' and 'eagerness' ho? =D

my new passion, photography

I've never been a good photographer ...
and buying a DLSR. wasn't an appealing idea to me =p
(ask dear the trouble he took to convince me to agree to him buying a DSLR =p lol )

However, I didn't know what 'wind' blow and I found myself in love with photography.
Yearning to take good pictures ... that bring happiness to everyone a.k.a the people in the photo, the people viewing the photo, and the person taking the photo.

It's a very fulfilling thing to capture others' happy moments =) for you help to make that moment last.

I've just missed

Ooopppss .... I've just missed my bloggie's 5th anniversary

Time really flies ... I've been blogging for 5 years and yet I feel like I've just started blogging not long ago.

In these years, I want to say 'thank you sooo much' to my friends and all who reads this blog. I've unconsciously taken you all as part of my life =)
(read : I've taken you as the 'listening ears, the happiness sharer, the hugs providers, the punching bags for things that happens in my life)

5 years back, I've started this blog out of curiousity and out of kiasu'ness ...
today and for many years to come, I'm still writing and continue writing on this blog because this is 'memory keeper' for me, my family, my loved ones, my friends and my children.

I may run out of ideas on what to post sometimes,
and there may be some posts sitting in my draft because I haven't find the courage to post
but trust me that blogging is a passion that will stay with me for a long looonnngggg time.

Blogging moments to me are enjoyable moments in life.

Due to Yong's and now CY's blog ... =p

You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow.
You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily.
Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.

You are well rounded, with a complete perspective on life.
You are solid and dependable. You are loyal, and people can count on you.
At times, you can be a bit too serious. You tend to put too much pressure on yourself.

You are very charming... dangerously so. You have the potential to break a lot of hearts.

You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.
You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.

Have every girl thought of this?

I'm not too sure if every girl does THIS ? If you do / did, please do share with me.

THIS ... I'm refering to thoughts of how they want their wedding or wedding pics to be?? *wink wink*

I for one, sure did ... lol
thought of .. if one day I were to get married to the someone I love very much
I will want a wedding photo (and a wedding) like this, full of joy and happiness and naturalness of just being myself.

When I first saw the photo way back in 2004
I hope to have a wedding pic like this ... yah, i know I should stop dreaming too much during then as I didn't even have a bridegroom candidate =p lol

Somehow I thought I just saw 'me' in there laughing loudly.
It is just SO-LIKE-ME doing this kind of naughty things even in wedding gowns =p (except that I'm not even half as beautiful as the bride in the pic)

I guess it's alright being a little 'chou lou' even in wedding pics right??? =p lol

@ work

@ work these days
I'm fully occupied from the moment I step into office till the moment I leave.
Numbers of meetings to attend have increased tremendously too ... and it translates to more more projects up & coming.
I'm currently juggling 7 projects ... some beginning, some in progress, some near end (not to mention daily operational jobs and on-going production error remedy)

The only way I'm still sane is to make myself believe

1. that the fact that I'm in a few projects concurrently does make me indispensable ... oh well who still believe that there's a person who's indispensable to an organisation??

2. this is only a passing period before I see the rainbow ... you know, like what they say about once you've been through the tough, everything else falls nicely into places.

3. we will reap what we sow ... this one is true but what we sow shall be visible a.k.a do not just keep quiet after you've successfully completed a project ... go on, make it known.

4. these projects will add value to 'me' ... the experiences, the scope and the people you interact with, the 'everything-in-the-package-of-project'

5. I'm not a 'superwoman' ... there's is life @ work n there's life after work. If there's just so much a person can do, let it be .. not point over-pushing and producing sub-standards outcomes. Balance is the word here ... don't let our health suffer (like what happened to me)

6. We do our very best, that's the very best we can do ... True because each time when I think I'm starting to compare my productivity with that of my fellow collegues, I put that energy to good use. And I tell myself, god is fair because for every strength there's weakness, for every obstacle there's opportunity.
Different people have different priorities. Someone could be better than us in work because it is their 1st priority meanwhile to us, family & loved ones is our priority ... so it all depends, you see.

A good night rest for myself ... tomorrow will be a brand new day =)

7km ah ... eh sai boh???

coming up next ...

HAVE YOU GOT YOUR MAN?

HAVE YOU GOT YOUR MAN?
click here guarantee can get one ah !!! dun play play

OOOOPPPSS .... I mean have you got your man's numerology?

Number 9 man

The attraction factor you’ll be drawn to number 9 because he’s warm, loving & caring, with an arty or creative side.
You may be bowled over by his strong instincts (he’s the type to have psychic dream about you). Or it may just be his scintillating conversation that turns you on.

In love there’s a touch of the moral majority about him. He’s perfectionist, tidy and thinks he knows what’s what.
He’s the kind of man you’ll hear down the pub moaning about the unemployed and having endless debates about politics & religion.

Falling in love encourages him to drop some of his airs and graces and his normally critical voice loses its cutting edge.
In love he becomes less judgmental. And better news still, he becomes less prudish about sex and turns out to be surprisingly liberated.

Number 8 man

The attraction factor his deadly charm & incredible sex appeal should do the trick.
The type to bowl you over before he's even opened his mouth. he's bold, stylish and err.. oggrant. He may even be rich & famous. But it's now just that attracts you.

In love, he's cool and likes stay in control, but once in love he’ll happily hand over the keys to his apartment & his Mazda – though sadly he’s still likely to hang on to his wallet.

This is the man who’ll whisk you around town to all the best parties, then whisper that it’s time for you to leave & be alone.

Normally number 8 is pretty responsible with his money but when he’s in love, his credit card balance turn crimson and he spends money like he’s won lottery.
He’s no amateur when it comes to women (he has a library of little black books), but once the love of his life is on scene, he’ll happily torch the lot.

Number 7 man

The attraction factor he’ll bring out the spiritual & imaginative in you and it could be you’re drawn to him as, subconsciously, you want to learn something other-worldly. This man will teach you how to dream.

In love number 7 makes things happen. He can usually sorts of crazy dreams – both yours & his – come true. You’ll know when he’s serious because he acts spaced-out and in the clouds.

Number 7 is spiritual & sensitive, but when he’s smitten he can get a bit too introspective. He likes to fuse with your mind, body and spirit – don’t be surprised if he suggests a bit of Tantric sex.

Number 6 man

The attraction factor if your have a tendency to look at life through rose tinted specs – and let’s face it, it looks prettier in pink – and like the thought of a serious romance with a wholesome man, then number 6 is for you.
You’ll probably be attracted by the ‘provider’ image, the fact that he’s food with children or the idea that here is a man who will always look after you.

In love number 6 is a real provider : clothes, shelter, three course dinner, TLD and sex. When he’s in love, he’ll want to build the perfect nest (our of Habitat furniture, not twigs and spit, we hope), so if you’re looking for commitment & stability he’s your man.

He’s a true romantic ; of the hearts, flowers and scented candles round the bath variety.
But be cautious : since naturally romantic men are such a rarity, you might find yourself falling in love with him rather too quickly only to discover while you’re smitten, he’s just having a good time.
But it should be easy to work out how he feels because he’s the kind of man who wears his heart on his sleeve.
Beware : nothing’s a secret where his emotions are concerned.

Number 5 man

The attraction factor you go for him when you feel like experimenting and living life to the full. He’s the type to have a trapeze in the bedroom and he tells the best stories and jokes.
If you’re the earthy type you could help to calm him down, or at least get him to stop at red light for a change.

In love, this man has a logical mind, but when in love his brain turns to scrambled egg.
He’s the wild and dangerous type- drink too much, smokes too much – but when he’s smitten you could become the only stimulant he needs.

Number 5 is also great for procrastinating. ‘Why do today what can be done tomorrow?’ he’ll groan, with his bum stuck firmly to the sofa.

Fortunately, falling in love brings out his hidden qualities so he’ll work hard as well as play hard. Whatever, he gets away with it because he’s one life charmers.

Number 4 man

The attraction factor if you’re looking for a friend, and a loyal ofie at that, he’s a good bet. He’s hardworking & practical, which is a bit of a turn on (especially when your central heating’s packed up).
Number 4 is no slouch in the sack and although you might have a struggle to keep his practical sex manual under the bed, you’ll have no complaints in the satisfaction department.

In love, fondly known as Mr B&Q, he’s the practical type who’s willing to help you out. He’ll stop your hairdryer from blowing up, rustle up a mean risotto and unscrew the top from a stubborn jar of Branston.

Number 4 isn’t keen on being in love because it interrupts his daily routine (the phrase’anally retentive’ springs to mind).
But once he’s fallen deep enough, he’ll organize his life around you.

Love makes him feel more secure, but it’s worth remembering that this man likes a challenge. If you want to whet his appetite, you’ll have to be prepared to put up a bit of a fight.

Number 3 man

The attraction factor he’s the perfect choice if you’re the sensible type looking to let your hair down. His sexual behaviour straddles the fins line between uninhibited and wild (sex up a tree, over the kitchen worktops – yes please).
Frankly, this man doesn’t give a stuff about what anyone think.

In love when he’s single and roving, number 3 is a real slob.
Left to his own devices it’s a case of green furry plates under the bed, empty special brew cans strewn across the room, spewing ashtray and dirty washing stuffed in Tesco bags.

But he’s not stupid. As soon as there’s a woman on the scene he gets the vacuum out so by the time you get to snoop in his bathroom cabinet his place will be spotless, there’ll be freshly squeezed orange juice in his fridge and even fresher sheets on his bed.

In love, number 3 is good fun, energetic and witty. Evidently love gives him the rocket up the backside that he needs. And the added bonus with number 3 is that he’s a demon under the duvet, so the only question you need to ask yourself is : can you handle it/ oh, go on then.
